Equipping Vital Ministry

Picture
Volunteer in Worship: It takes many people to make our worship experience the best it can be.  We have a musicians, greeters, ushers, lay readers, communion servers, hospitality coordinators, and others.  If you would like to volunteer during our worship experiences, please contact the church office.

Serve God by Serving Children: Our children’s ministry includes offering the children’s chat during the 11:00 worship, leading children’s church, and helping with children’s events.  We need adults to help plan, design, and implement these activities and events for children K-6.

If you are interested in working with youth grades 7-12, please contact Rachel Upshaw, Director of Youth Ministries at upshaw.rachel@gmail.com.

ALL persons working with children and youth are required to have a background check to comply with our Safe Sanctuaries policy.

Comfort Those that Mourn: Some people find their church experience comes when a loved one dies.  A special ministry is to walk with people in their mourning.  This is a ministry of comfort and support to others.

If you feel called to the ministry of presence, please speak with Pastor Sonja and she will work with you to get you started.

Facilitate a Small Group: There are many who have a desire to find a deeper connection to God and to one another.  This happens in small groups.  These groups can be groups of many kinds.  These can be lunch groups, study groups, fly fishing groups, topical groups, book studies, community groups or anything else that interests you.  We need individuals willing to coordinate the activities of these groups.

Welcome Team: Most churches think that they are welcoming congregations, but it takes work to actually be welcoming.  Join our team that works to ensure that we are practicing radical hospitality to all who enter our doors!
